Drooopi
is a silly acronym for Davis Richardson Office of Objects, Projects, and Images, which is a silly way of saying we design and make drawings of things and spaces.
translated simply means “moving house;” in designing and building a tiny house on wheels in which to live while I attended graduate architecture school at the University of Texas at Austin, I was inspired by the flexibility and dynamism of lifestyle that comes with tiny houses.
Kinetohaus was an exploration into a typology - tiny houses on wheels - that is fundamentally different from static houses on foundations. Narrow and dynamic, Kinetohaus is wrapped in a durable metal shell and clad with rich, natural wood siding; natural light is considered as another material, helping a compact footprint feel spacious.
